What is the probability that A and B lose communication?

Suppose station A and B are interconnected through two parallel links, where each link has a failure probability of 0.1. What is the probability that A and B lose communication? Repeat the question if there are three parallel links between A and B.What is the probability that A and B lose communication?
Assuming that the failure probabilities are independent, then the product of both links failing is the product of their independent failures - 0.01 in the case of two links, 0.001 for three links.
