Bluetooth is basically the same as all other wireless communication methods. The only difference is that it uses less power, making it ideal for cell phones.What is bluetooth and how is it the same/different than other wireless communication?
I'm giving you my understanding, very non-technical as I'm not even close to expert on this. I have, however, used wi-fi, infrared and bluetooth. I think they are all basically the same thing--compact "radios" to transmit and redeive signals from a home wireless network, from a telephone or pda, etc. Basic difference is frequency of communication and some are much faster than others.
