The Obama administration want's to double the wireless communication spectrum available for commercial use over the next decadeish for commercial use. I'm fairly up to tabs on tech, and politics, but I don't understand what is trying to be done here.What is the "wireless communication spectrum", and where is it coming from to be doubled?
Governments regulate the range of frequencies you can legally transmit EM waves at. They plan to increase the range of frequencies available for use.
