How much written communication happens in a nursing home? & What is it?

Just need to know some examples of written communication in a nursing home please? How much written communication happens in a nursing home? %26amp; What is it?
Quite a bit, actually. The nurses and doctors, of course, have to chart (write down) everything they do for a resident: medicines, treatments, and so on. Dietitians, PT, OC and Social Workers add their input, too. Work orders for maintenance, purchase orders for equipment, supplies, food and prescriptions must all be written.

Incident reports must be filled out any time there's an unusual occurrence (lost resident, wrong med, falls, etc).

Then, you have all of the Policy and Procedure manuals (usually a copy for each nurses' station), Haz-Mat Operating Procedures, and so on.How much written communication happens in a nursing home? %26amp; What is it?
Observing carers in my mother in law's home, they right reports to chief carer on residents and up date in handwriting residents' condition.
